While PK-5 Elementary school classrooms have long been a hub of curiosity and innovation, it is time for a more focused and integrated approach to the inclusion of coding. Coding has become an integral part of our daily lives and what better way to foster logic and problem-solving skills than by learning to code at a young age. Teachers will experience how Bee-bots can encourage students to work in groups to design maps, develop a route card, calculate steps or retell a story by creating a sequence of codes. Teachers will also have a chance to explore websites appropriate for PK-2 Early Childhood and PK-5 Elementary age learners. We will have hands-on time with apps, websites, Bee-bots, Blue-bots and share resources for developing ELA and Math Connections.
