Amp Up Your AM Announcements with Student Videos
Do your students not pay attention to morning announcements because it is just a voice in the sky? Starting and implementing a video production lab can help make this time of day more interactive and meaningful. This session will discuss simple steps used with PK-5 Elementary-aged students to implement a lab within a school. You will be able to watch a finished, student-made announcement. You will be introduced to apps, materials, and topics used during the production process. Using a video lab, students gain ownership of the finished video while learning editing, collaboration, and communication skills. You will take away information needed to set up your own lab at your school. Your school will gain authentic teaching, shared leadership, and teacher/student collaboration with a lab. You can also bring in community connections with student made commercials. Come join the session where you can take information back and implement immediately at your school.

OK Computer Science Standards
What does the adoption of OK Computer Science standards mean for our classrooms? Our session will spread the word of the OK Computer Science standards, and provide insight to initiatives that are taking place across the state.
Participants will hear about the development of the standards, complete a sample lesson, and discuss where these standards can start fitting into the general classroom. We will share resources and express the importance of aligning activities to these standards. Computer Science is projected as the most unfilled STEM career field and our students need to be prepared.

Schoolwide Seesaw Success
Students who create authentic learning experiences using technology need to have a space to save and share their creations with others. The Seesaw app is perfect for creating digital student portfolios. Attendees will be introduced to the Seesaw app and learn how it can be easily used to store and share authentic pieces. Come hear how Northmoor PK-5 Elementary teachers were able to set up schoolwide digital classrooms in a variety of subject areas. Participants will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to implement Seesaw in the classroom and walk through the process of setting up an account. Teachers are able to collaborate by connecting classrooms and sharing authentic projects with one another.

Technology Enhances the Writing Process
Sometimes writing can be a challenge. Using technology can be an instant motivator for some students. In this session, those attending will participate in lessons created to meet the multi-modal literacies standard, as well as the writing process standard. Participants will become the students as we demonstrate writing lessons used in our classrooms. These lessons are effortless and do not require advanced technology training.
