In this presentation participants will learn how Pryor Public Schools has developed relationships with business & industries, the Cherokee Nation, and higher education institutions to create unique learning opportunities for their students. Learn how over the last five years strong partnerships have been developed to create unique career pathway opportunities like internships, plant tours, third graders go to work and more. Participants will also see the structured approach of developing a vertical plan for students that starts in the early grades and is developed through graduation that includes and individual career academic plan. Examples of how these partnerships have enhanced learning and provided possibilities for students and for the business & industry partners.

It will feature a panel of previous grant recipients who will share their "secrets" for: (1) involving stakeholders in developing a technology vision, (2) using data and research to determine which practices to address, and (3) determining what technology to purchase and how it will be integrated authentically in classroom instruction. Gather a team and learn about the OETT grant writing process.
Having worked in schools that were 100% free lunch to schools that were much more affluent, I have learned that technology is a very effective means of reaching and teaching all children. This section will look at ways to get to 1:1 and where do you go when you get there. We will also look at how to transition from 2:1 to 1:1.
